Supporting Communities in Africa

Helping to improve health and education

Norbrook has supported a range of community projects in Kenya and Uganda in recent years. Fundraising and donations from employees at our Newry locations, together with contributions from the company have enhanced education and sanitation facilities, improved access to clean water and provided playground facilities for children. Norbrook employees have also donated clothes and toys which were distributed to local families in Africa. Learn more about how we support African communities here.

Jajja Flora Orphanage

The Jajja Flora orphanage in Uganda has raised over 250 orphans since its establishment in 1980 and supports almost 40 orphans on an ongoing basis. Norbrook’s team in Uganda have provided food, beds and toys at Christmas and installed solar panels ensuring that the orphanage has year round electricity.

Kingothua school

Donations from Norbrook employees facilitated the building of a new kitchen and dining facility for Kingothua primary school which is located close to Nobrook’s Kenyan factory.

Kawaida Care & Feeding Centre

Kawaida is a community-based project to support children who are orphaned or whose families cannot afford to feed them. Donations from Norbrook employees have helped to provide a new classroom and kitchen, a water tank to collect rain water and a new playground.
