Our Company’s Involvement in Education
Norbrook® is partnering with the University of Ulster to establish an endowed Chair in Pharmaceutical Science with a £1 million donation.
The donation will establish the Norbrook Laboratories Professorship within the new Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University's Coleraine campus and will directly contribute to the University's Biomedical Sciences Research Institute which is ranked in the top two in the UK in the most recent national Research Assessment Exercise.
Southern Education College

Norbrook® offers an annual £5000 bursary and two runner-up prizes of £3000 to the best full time student at the Southern Education College. Martin Murdock presented these awards on behalf of Norbrook in August at a prestigious Graduation Ceremony held at the Armagh City Hotel.

Foundation Degree in Applied Medical Science
Norbrook® have been instrumentally involved in getting an Applied Medical Science degree course set up at the Southern Education College, which is aimed at those wishing to follow a career in applied and medical sciences. This course, offered in conjunction with the University of Ulster, is designed to give students the skills needed to gain employment in the pharmaceutical sector or to progress onto higher education courses in the areas of biology, biomedical sciences or health sciences.

St Colman's College Norbrook Laboratory
Norbrook® is very closely involved in St Colman's College Norbrook Laboratory & St Paul's High School Norbrook Laboratory. The two schools are located close to Norbrook in Newry and have close links with us. Norbrook donated funds to both schools to help build new science laboratories, which have been named the Norbrook Laboratories in each school.

St Paul's High School
Norbrook® ran a careers evening for St Paul's High School at Armagh Road in April for year 13 Science and Maths students to give them an idea of the range of jobs available with the science/maths background.
