Don’t Let the Weather Hold Them Back

It’s no secret that the onset of the cold, wet weather of the Great British winters can cause untold stress and distress for arthritic pets and indeed their owners.

Help is at hand through Norbrook which has designated a month of Arthritis Awareness promotions throughout October and November.

 Arthritis

“There is a wide range of treatment options available for arthritic pets,” advises Michelle Jones, Companion Animal Brand Manager, Norbrook.  “At Norbrook, we are focusing on arthritis during October when pet owner and veterinary practices can enjoy special promotions on arthritis treatment, enter competitions with a range of great prizes and receive expert advice from our own inhouse Veterinary Advisors on the dedicated Pet Healthcare section on our website.”

As a world leading veterinary pharmaceuticals company, Norbrook manufacture a reliable range of NSAIDs that can be prescribed to aid the treatment of arthritis.

“Our product range offers Vets and pet owners a wide choice of treatments,” adds Miss Jones.  “Loxicom for cats and dogs is our meloxicam product available as an oral suspension or an injectable while Carprieve is our Carprofen product, available as an injectable for dogs and cats and in tablet form for dogs.  We have also recently introduced a new liver-flavoured palatable tablet which is proven to be more successful in getting dogs to take the medication.  In addition, Norbrook also supply a glucosamine supplement, Noractive, which can also be used for improving joint suppleness and mobility in cats and dogs.”

Arthritis Awareness Month will run from 15th October- 15th November 2011.  Look out for the promotions and competitions sent to your veterinary practices or log on to www.norbrook.com.
