2012 World BSAVA Congress
“BSAVA is a jewel in the crown of our profession,” says BSAVA President Mr Andrew Ash during the 2012 World BSAVA Congress opening ceremony on Wednesday 11th of April in Birmingham.

This was the first joint meeting between the BSAVA and WSAVA, attracting a record number of delegates from across the world. Delegates were able to attend a range of engaging lectures exploring the latest technologies and business planning in the veterinary industry as well as a choice of scientific sessions for veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
With over 40 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has established itself as a world leader in the development and manufacture of veterinary and animal health medicines. “As a global organization it was exciting to see a broad spectrum of delegates visiting from the local practices across the UK as well as international representatives from Europe and worldwide,” says Michelle Jones, Small Animal Brand Manager from Norbrook Laboratories Ltd.
The Norbrook international team provided advice and expertise on the major areas of the small animal business supported by a comprehensive display of its products. The wide range of high-quality arthritis products including Carprieve and Loxicom; as well as Norbrook’s joint management NoroQuin range were well received by veterinarians and practice managers. The rest of the stand focused on Norbrook’s extensive antibiotic range, which included, best-seller Noroclav. New product development has been an important part of Norbrook’s business; accordingly, a section of the stand was dedicated to the new additions to the small animal range- Propentofylline, Noroquin and the range extensions to the Loxicom brand.
The world map displayed at the stand showed just how far across the globe Norbrook operates. Delegates, who entered the competition, will now be aware that Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has manufacturing facilities on four continents and exports to over 120 countries worldwide.
