TotalDairy Seminar offers hands-on training and technical insights

The Norbrook team were on hand to meet with dairy farmers, veterinary surgeons and nutritionists, offering expert technical and practical advice at this year’s TotalDairy Seminar 2017.

The theme of this year’s event was ‘Efficient Dairy Farming’ focusing on fertility, heifer rearing and nutrition, and the Norbrook team were amongst a network of international experts delivering updates on the latest research and sharing their philosophies and practices.

Kelly Foley, Veterinary Advisor for Norbrook Laboratories, met one to one with visitors who were interested in learning more about ‘Nora’ the rubber udder – a resource to help demonstrate selective dry cow therapy during practical farm training days.

“It was great to welcome delegates to our stand, and 'Nora' was a real talking point to engage with farmers about selective dry cow therapy,” says Dr Foley.

“The event was a huge success with more than 400 forward-thinking dairy producers and industry professionals granted direct access to the latest research findings, management know-how and practical techniques from around the world in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.”

Norbrook ran a competition during the event, held 14-15th June at Keele University, Staffordshire, with vet Darrell Irwin from Willows Vet Group, Cheshire, winning a magnum of Champagne, and dairy farmer Ben Keedwell, of Regilbury Farm, Winford, Bristol, winning a keg of beer.
