Norbrook® Launches Loxicom® (meloxicam oral suspension) 0.5 mg/mL, Providing Veterinarians and Dog Owners an Affordable and Convenient Option for the Control of Pain and Inflammation Associated with Osteoarthritis in Dogs.

Lenexa, KS (June 2026) – Norbrook Inc., dedicated to providing quality and more economically priced veterinary pharmaceuticals, today announced it has launched Loxicom® (meloxicam oral suspension) 0.5 mg/mL. The newly approved strength joins Norbrook's Loxicom® (meloxicam oral suspension) 1.5 mg/mL and Loxicom® (meloxicam) 5 mg/mL Solution for Injection to round out Norbrook's Loxicom® family of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Loxicom® oral suspension is indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. It has the same safety, efficacy and indications as the pioneer suspension, but is packaged in a much more convenient see-through bottle and at a significant cost savings to the clinic. This cost saving allows the clinic to increase profitability while reducing cost to the pet owner. Observe label directions. Do not use Loxicom Oral Suspension in cats. Acute renal failure and death have been associated with the use of meloxicam in cats. As with any medication, side effects may occur. These are usually mild, but may be serious. The most common side effects reported in field studies were vomiting, soft stool/diarrhea and decreased appetite. If side effects occur, discontinue treatment immediately and consult a veterinarian.
