Tim Burgess

Tim brings over 30 years of global experience in end-to-end supply chain management, having held a broad range of leadership roles across operations, supply chain, strategy, and transformation. His career spans multiple industries, including Automotive, Healthcare, and FMCG, with the past 15 years focused exclusively on the Biotech and Pharma sectors.
In the first half of his pharma journey, Tim held strategic and operational support roles at GSK and Teva, In the second half, he transitioned into full ownership roles—first managing complex, multi-regional supply chains across Europe and Emerging Markets at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. This included oversight of 25 warehouses and distribution centres, as well as 7 demand and supply planning hubs. He then took on an operational leadership role at Dechra Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for global internal manufacturing operations across eight sites, as well as leading global support functions including MS&T, Engineering, and Operational Excellence. Most recently, Tim led Dechra’s Strategy & Transformation Office, where he was responsible for the design and execution of the company’s global manufacturing and supply chain strategy.
Tim is a mechanical engineer by training and holds a postgraduate degree in Manufacturing, Management, and Technology. He has been married to Sacha for 16 years, and they live in a small village near Oundle in England with their two children, Imogen (15 years old) and Myles (11 years old). Outside of work, Tim enjoys travelling, motorbiking, playing golf, cooking, and cheering on his son in competitive swimming and local football.
